BIO
Personal Profile
My name is Matthew Hill and I am running for State Representative District 93. I was born an orphan in San Salvador, El Salvador, at the breakout of a brutal civil war. I was adopted and brought to New Orleans by my mother, a native New Orleanian, and my father, who is from south of Detroit.
I grew up in Washington, DC, where I graduated from George Mason University. After college, I spent time working on a wolf rescue project in the dessert at a Navajo Reservation, I was once the youngest bar owner in the French Quarter, and was a general manger in the restaurant industry. I currently manage a multiple-award winning restaurant.
I am a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, a Change Management Specialist, and authored a book on Leadership.
I pledge to forge an aggressive push in Baton Rouge to make New Orleans safer, cleaner, and more prosperous.
